The Upper Bridge to St. Joe Confluence section of St. Joe River - Marble Creek in Idaho is 13.5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Shoshone County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The beauty of the Clearwater Mountains is a great plus for this river.
Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are not so many other good spots for
that around here. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too.
