The nature scenery of Fremont County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might     end up sleeping in your car. This section of Teton River in Fremont County is 6.3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Idaho are harder than the national norm, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Briefly about the general area: It is very waterless here at Teton River mostly; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest month is August.
