Says Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Illinois is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The scenic beauty of Illinois and the playfulness of the water beats anything. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This section of Cedar Creek in La Salle County is 5.9 miles long and is according     to American Whitewater a class I-II(IV) section of whitewater. This is the only paddling section along Cedar Creek. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip.
