The White Cloud to Blue River Chapel section of Blue River in Harrison County is 2.4 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I(II) section. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are less demanding. The campgrounds here at Blue River are pretty good. This is a bit of a short stretch so no     need to bring snacks. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is the only paddling stretch along Blue River. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other spots for that. Briefly about the general area: Much rainfall falls at Blue River; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and September is the month with the least moisture. Harrison Spring is an inspiring location to go to while here, and some exciting geology is available here, Devils Elbow is right here. Through the warm months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Blue River, and all   through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Blue River.
