You may find some interest in a video we produced for the Nature Conservancy, Blue River, Indiana. You can find it here: http://www.vimeo.com/2973037 by RAVENSWOOD MEDIA. Says David McGowan
Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Indiana tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. The wonderful Indiana scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any
hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Whether you're whitewater
rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The White Cloud to Blue River Chapel section of Blue River in Indiana is 2.4 miles long and is a class I(II) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The White Cloud to Blue River Chapel section is the only paddling section along Blue River.
