The natural beauty of Elkhart County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Indiana you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so you'd better keep in mind that     a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. This section of Christiana Creek is 1.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-II section. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling spots. The West Simonton to St. Joseph River section is the only paddling section along Christiana Creek. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
