The put-in is not too far from Greensburg, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section of Flatrock River is 6.8 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I(III) section. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. On this section you     do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. Flatrock River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Old US Highway 421 to Conns Creek section is the only one. The scenic beauty of Decatur County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
