The scenic beauty of Montgomery County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending     some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The Indian Road to Deer Mill stretch is the only paddling stretch along Indian Creek. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The put-in location is a short drive from Crawfordsville, as you can see on the road map further down.
