Indiana whitewater - Little Indian Creek, Harrison County Harrison county, Corydon Country Club to County Fairgrounds section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS I(III)     1.5 miles   This stretch of Little Indian Creek is 1.5 miles long and has been rated as a class I(III) section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Indiana scenery and the playfulness of the water beats anything. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Louisville, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling     places. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. This is the only paddling stretch along Little Indian Creek. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Sulphur Spring, and don't leave Little Indian Creek without first paying a visit to Grable Spring. The warmest time of the year at Little Indian Creek arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down   it sinks down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Little Indian Creek fall into the 20's. Little Indian Creek is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and September is when it's the driest.
