The put-in is not too far from Bloomington, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Indiana are easier than the national norm, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right     nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. McCormick's Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Bridle Trail to White River stretch is the only one. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The natural beauty of Indiana and the water flowing gracefully down McCormick's Creek will make you feel great. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. Briefly about the general area: During the long summer days at McCormick's Creek temperatures are typically in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for McCormick's Creek.
