CLASS II(IV)     1 miles
If you're coming from Louisville it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The natural beauty of Clark County and the water flowing gracefully down Ohio River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. No need to look hard for hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Since
you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This is a very short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in
Indiana tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. The Upper Falls of Ohio stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system.
