  The Upper Falls of Ohio section of Ohio River is 1 miles long and is a class II(IV) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you're coming from Louisville it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. The scenic beauty of Clark County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve
    in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Upper Falls of Ohio section is one of them. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Indiana is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that
the rivers in this state are less demanding. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. This section is very short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch.

Falls of the Ohio is always fun to check out, and a short trip to Falls of the Ohio is always worthwhile. Ohio River generally gets much precipitation;
 
March is when you get the most rain here; September on the other hand is the driest.
Summertime at Ohio River arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Ohio River night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's.
