Indiana whitewater - Pipe Creek, Cass County Cass county, 925 East Road to 275 South Road section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS I-II+(V)     1.3 miles   The 925 East Road to 275 South Road stretch of Pipe Creek in Cass County is 1.3 miles long and is a class I-II+(V) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Indiana are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. The put-in location is a short drive from Logansport, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors     will make you glad you came. The beautiful scenery of Cass County and the cool fresh water beats anything. This is the only paddling section along Pipe Creek. This section is very short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: At Pipe Creek all through the summer highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Pipe Creek temperatures drop to the 10's.
