The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. The natural beauty of Huntington County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to
    come here and paddle. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for
a while are great attractions for lots of people. The Markle to county road 150 section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This section is very short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. This stretch of Wabash River is 1.2 miles long and is a class I-II(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

Summertime at Wabash River arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is slightly colder of course, regularly in the 60's.
