The nature scenery of Martin County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. This is the only paddling stretch along White River. The Hindostan Falls section of White River is 0.1 miles long and is a class I-II(IV) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This section is very short so better bring some good walking shoes.     There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Indiana is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. Briefly about the general area: Throughout the warm months highs here at White River get into the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at White River. Don't leave White River without first paying a visit to Hindostan Falls.
