This section of Winnebago River is 10 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you     make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The wonderful Cerro Gordo County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Winnebago River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the East Park to Wren Avenue section is the only one. There's camping available near Winnebago River. Briefly about the general area: All through the summertime, highs commonly are in the 80's at Winnebago River. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Winnebago River temperatures sink to the 0's. Winnebago River gets a common amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is   usually June, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest.
