If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are no other sections to paddle along Winnebago River than the East Park to Wren Avenue section. Briefly about the general area: Nearby Big Gully is a magnificent place to go if you're at Winnebago River. Throughout the summertime at Winnebago River highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the winter the highs are typically in the 20's,   and overnight lows through the wintertime for Winnebago River tend to be in the 0's. Winnebago River gets a common amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most; January is the month with the least moisture.
