This stretch of Pool Creek is 1 miles long and is a class III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is an extremely short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Butcher Falls section is the only paddling section     along Pool Creek.
