The scenic beauty of Whitley County and the playfulness of the water have people coming     here. The river winds through the Cumberland Plateau Mountains and you get great scenery. This stretch is very short so better bring some good walking shoes. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Bark Camp Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Old Fluffy section is the only one. Briefly about the general area: Throughout the summer highs here at Bark Camp Creek get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally   in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Bark Camp Creek. Near Bark Camp Creek you find the Sheltowee Trace Trail which is a good hiking trail; nearby you stumble on perfect sites like Broad Gap Hollow. You completely must fancy the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. There is a great hiking trail near Bark Camp Creek called the Bark Camp Trail. Bark Camp Creek sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May while October is typically the driest month.
