This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The Kentucky 418 Bridge to Kentucky River section is the only paddling section along Boone Creek. This stretch of Boone Creek is 6.3 miles long and is a class II(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and night   lows all through the winter for Boone Creek tend to be in the 20's.
