This stretch of Boone Creek in Fayette/Clark County is 6.3 miles long and it is classified as a class II(III) section by American Whitewater. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Kentucky tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are
quite easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are
great reasons to come. Boone Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Kentucky 418 Bridge to Kentucky River section is the only one. The wonderful Kentucky scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle.

the 80's, and the overnight is fairly cooler of course, typically in the 60's. Through the winter the highs are usually in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Boone Creek tend to be in the 20's.
