The city of Louisville has installed Canoe ramps at Miles Park near US 60 and at Fischerville near KY 155 (Taylorsville Rd). You can paddle from Miles Park to Seatonville Rd (13.4 miles). Says MikeB The put-in is not too far from Louisville, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch of Floyds Fork is 9.6 miles long and has been rated as a class I section by American Whitewater. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people     coming here. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other spots. This is the only paddling section along Floyds Fork. The wonderful Kentucky scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Kentucky is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Briefly about the general area: Summer brings highs in the 80's to Floyds Fork. Summer night lows dip down   to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Floyds Fork dip into the 20's. Floyds Fork gets lots of water; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
