The scenic beauty of Clark County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Richmond, as you can see on the road map further down. There are no other sections to paddle along Four Mile Creek than the Four Mile Road Bridge to Confluence with Kentucky River section. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing     to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Kentucky are often more forgiving than in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. This section is quite short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Briefly about the general area: For the period of the summer months at Four Mile Creek highs are ordinarily in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the   30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Four Mile Creek. Four Mile Creek is a pretty wet place typically with a lot of rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while October is ordinarily the driest month.
