The wonderful Kentucky scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The put-in location is a short drive from Richmond, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to     one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Kentucky are easier than the national norm, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. There are no other stretches to paddle along Four Mile Creek than the Four Mile Road Bridge to Confluence with Kentucky River stretch. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. High temperatures during   the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows at Four Mile Creek through the wintertime commonly drop into the 20's.
