  The starting location is a reasonable drive from Richmond, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch of Four Mile Creek is 2 miles long and is a class II-III+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The Four Mile Road Bridge to Confluence with Kentucky River section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number
    of good places. The natural beauty of Kentucky and the water flowing gracefully down Four Mile Creek will make you feel great. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river,
and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Kentucky are easier than the national norm, so don't forget that rivers in this state are less demanding. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here.
