The Confluence of Smith Fork to Kentucky River stretch of Galloway Creek in Madison County is 2.5 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is
a very popular destination. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is a somewhat short section so better bring some good walking shoes. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is
the only paddling stretch along Galloway Creek.
