Kentucky whitewater - Jouett Creek, Clark County Clark county, Kentucky 418 to Kentucky River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS IV     1.8 miles   This stretch of Jouett Creek is 1.8 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV section of whitewater. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Kentucky are often more forgiving than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less demanding. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The put-in location is a short drive from Lexington-Fayette, as you can see     on the road map further down. The Kentucky 418 to Kentucky River stretch is the only paddling stretch along Jouett Creek. This section is quite short so no need to bring snacks. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. The scenic beauty of Clark County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. Briefly about the general area: Nearby Bush Hollow is a perfect place to go if you're at Jouett Creek. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Jouett Creek while nighttime lows are frequently in the 60's. Through the winter the highs are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Jouett Creek tend to be   in the 20's. Jouett Creek is a pretty wet place frequently with a lot of rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture.
