The Sulphur to Kentucky 421 section of Little Kentucky River is 8.1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. The nature scenery of Henry/Trimble County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. The Sulphur to Kentucky 421 stretch is the only paddling stretch along Little Kentucky River. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty     decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Kentucky are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. Briefly about the general area: Throughout the warm months at Little Kentucky River highs are usually in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Little Kentucky River.
