This stretch of Muddy Creek in Kentucky is 5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II(III) section. The beautiful scenery of Kentucky and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. rafting and kayaking here in Kentucky are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for
| a one day trip. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

about the general area: You'll meet a lot of folks from Waco here, and Fort Boonesborough State Park is a pleasant spot to stretch your legs a bit. Summertime highs at Muddy Creek generally tend to be in the 80's. All
through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Muddy Creek fall into the 20's. All
the water falling down from the sky makes Muddy Creek a wet spot. July is when you get the most rain here; October meanwhile is the driest month.
