The scenic beauty of Meade County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Kentucky is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The US 60 to Firetower Road section is the only paddling section along Otter Creek. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the     river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip.
