  The wonderful Kentucky scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. This stretch of Plum Creek in Spencer County is 8.9 miles long and it is classified as a class II(III) section by American Whitewater. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might
    end up sleeping in your car. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking,
either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. Plum Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Wilsonville to Salt River stretch is the only one.

Briefly about the general area:
Plum Creek sees pretty high levels of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain; October on the other hand is the driest. Feather Bed Hollow is in close proximity to Plum Creek and is beyond doubt a good place to go to.
For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Plum Creek reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Plum Creek.
