The put-in is not too far from Richmond, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This is a pretty short section so better bring some good walking shoes. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Curtis RoadBridge to Kentucky 876 Bridge section is one of them. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
