  This stretch of Allagash Stream in Maine is 5.5 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The natural beauty of Piscataquis County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Maine
    are often easier than in other states, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.
There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

Little Allagash Falls is a scenic place to stop at while you're at Allagash Stream. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Allagash Stream. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures
