The Lower Wilson Pond to Bodfish Crossing section of Big Wilson Stream is 9 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The average Maine whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to
run than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number
