The Bodfish Crossing to Willimantic stretch of Big Wilson Stream is 5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. The natural beauty of Piscataquis County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This stretch is mid length, suitable for
an afternoon trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance
