The Route 175 - Tidal Reversing Falls stretch of Blue Hill Falls in Hancock County is 1 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Maine and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for
lots of people. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is an extremely short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back
to put-in a few times. The Route 175 - Tidal Reversing Falls stretch is the only paddling stretch along Blue Hill Falls. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots.
