This stretch of Blue Hill Falls is 1 miles long and it is classified as a class III section by American Whitewater. The average Maine whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Route 175 - Tidal Reversing Falls section is the only paddling section along Blue Hill Falls. You might
be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling rivers. This is a very short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The nature scenery of Hancock County and the playfulness of the water have people
coming here. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come.
