The between Weld and Dryden section of Bowley Brook in Maine is 0.25 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V section of whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad
you came. The wonderful Maine scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Bowley Brook are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers.
Whitewater paddling here in the White Mountains is a great experience. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Maine you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. This is the only paddling section along Bowley Brook. This stretch is very short so better bring some good walking shoes.
