The put-in location is a short drive from Lewiston-Auburn, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section of Bowley Brook in Maine is 0.25 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. The wonderful Franklin County scenery and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
This stretch is very short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The beauty of the White Mountains is a great plus for this river. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. The rivers
