The nature scenery of Maine and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. No need to look hard for hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. A bit of exercise     and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Branch Lake Stream doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Branch Lake to Infant Street in Ellsworth stretch is the only one.
