This stretch of Carrabasset in Franklin County is 10 miles long and it is classified as a class I-IV section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Franklin County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. You can pitch a tent
    or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are many good hotels to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your sleeping bag. This river system has a few good paddling
sections and the Carrabasset to Kingfield section is one of them.
