The natural beauty of Somerset County and the cool fresh water beats anything. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. The campgrounds here at Cold Stream are pretty good. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night,     but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is the only paddling stretch along Cold Stream. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more.
