The Ellis Bog to Chamberlain Lake section of Ellis Brook is 1.8 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Maine are often more forgiving than in other states, so better not forget that many runs in this state are very easy. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to     bring snacks. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is the only paddling section along Ellis Brook. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: Near Ellis Brook you find the Carry Trail which is a nice hiking trail. During the warm days of summer at Ellis Brook highs are typically in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Ellis Brook.
