The scenic beauty of Maine and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Maine is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want     to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds here at Enchanted Stream are pretty good. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Enchanted Stream doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the to Dead River section is the only one.
