The Round Pond to Ferguson Brook section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The Round Pond to Ferguson Brook stretch of Fish River in Maine is 5.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-III section. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle,
suitable for an afternoon trip. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Great
