Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Maine tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. The beautiful scenery of Maine and the water flowing gracefully down Goose Falls are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in
advance because these hotels fill up quick. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Goose Falls Fd to same section is one of them. If you're coming from Rockland it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further
down the page so you won’t get lost. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. This is an extremely short section so no need to bring snacks. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people.

paying a visit to Goose Falls; you can spend the day on the beach at Bakeman Beach. Goose Falls is a quite wet place frequently with a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You are in the vicinity of Tom Cod Cove since you're here at Goose Falls; time spent at Redman Beach is always great.
