If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Rockland, as you can see on the road map further
down. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
This is an extremely short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The Goose Falls Fd to same section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
