If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. The Kennebago Lake to Bridge section of Kennebago River in Maine is 7 miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. The campgrounds here at Kennebago
River are pretty good. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. There are no other sections to paddle along Kennebago River than the Kennebago Lake to Bridge section. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to
get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. The beauty of the White Mountains is a great plus for this river.

The warmest time of the year at Kennebago River arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. During the moonlight
