  The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Lewiston-Auburn, as you can see on the road map further down. The nature scenery of Oxford County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to
    come. This section of Little Androscoggin River in Oxford County is 4 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that. When you're
paddling down a White Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Little Androscoggin River plunge into the-10's. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Little Androscoggin River; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
Mount Abram has splendid slopes and a friendly staff.
