  The wonderful Maine scenery and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The average Maine whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Bryant Pond to Tubbs School section is one of them. When you're paddling down a White Mountains river like this one you always
    get great scenery along the way too. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The Bryant Pond
to Tubbs School stretch of Little Androscoggin River in Oxford County is 4 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV section. If you're coming from Lewiston-Auburn it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good rivers.

enough of the good skiing at Mount Abram. An average amount of precipitation falls at Little Androscoggin River; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
