If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Maine you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camp stove. If you're a camper you can camp     at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the West Paris to South Paris section is one of them. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: Put some time aside to spend at Bisco Falls while you're here at Little Androscoggin River, and Snow Falls Gorge is a pleasant place to spend some time.
