If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The Parmachenee Lake to Aziscohos     Lake section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This stretch is very short so better bring some good walking shoes. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whitewater paddling here in the White Mountains is a great experience. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that.
