  The Third East Branch to First East Branch section of Magalloway River is 8 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-IV section of whitewater. The scenic beauty of Maine and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Some
    people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The Third East Branch to First East Branch stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this
state are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip.

Briefly about the general area:
For the duration of the summertime months here at Magalloway River, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's, and the night is fairly cooler of course, usually in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Magalloway River.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Magalloway River a wet place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
