The Kingman to Mattawamkeag section of Mattawamkeag is 12.5 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners.
