There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great     attractions for lots of people. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. There are no other sections to paddle along Millinocket Stream than the Millinocket Lake to Libby Camp section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Maine is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places.
