The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. This stretch of Moxie Stream in Maine is 1.75 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. You can     pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners.
