The beautiful scenery of Piscataquis County and the water flowing gracefully down Nahmakanta Stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy.     This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The Nahmakanta Lake to Pemadumcook Lake stretch is the only paddling stretch along Nahmakanta Stream.
