Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Maine are easier than the national norm, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. The Deblois to Cherryfield stretch of Narraguagus River in Maine is 17.3 miles long and is a class I-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The
beautiful scenery of Washington County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camp stove too. This is one of a small number of paddling
sections in this river system, there are a few others too. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

Narraguagus River, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are typically in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Narraguagus River temperatures dip to the 10's.
