  The Deblois to Cherryfield stretch of Narraguagus River in Washington County is 17.3 miles long and has been rated as a class I-V section by American Whitewater. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so pack your
    camping stuff. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Deblois to Cherryfield stretch is one of them. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The beautiful scenery of Washington County and the cool fresh
water make the trip here worthwhile. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

Briefly about the general area:
Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Narraguagus River. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and night lows through the winter for Narraguagus River tend to be in the 10's. Narraguagus River
 
is a reasonably wet place usually with a lot of rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and August meanwhile is the driest month.
A short tour to Sprague Falls is always worthwhile.
