The average Maine whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The wonderful Hancock County scenery and the     sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. This is the only paddling section along Nicatous Stream.
