CLASS V     0.8 miles
The nature scenery of Maine and the water flowing gracefully down Passadumkeag River make the trip here worthwhile. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. Passadumkeag River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Saponac to Upper Lord Brook section is the only one. The sections for whitewater rafting and
kayaking here in Maine are often more forgiving than in other states, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make
you glad you came. This is a very short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch of Passadumkeag River is 0.8 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V section of whitewater.
